Lekhidari Canyon is the perfect choice for those who want to experience canyoning for the first time or spend an unforgettable, active day with their family. It is a deep, emerald canyon hidden in lush greenery, featuring crystal-clear mountain water and natural pools that feel like a wild water park. The tour is packed with fun—including cliff jumps directly into the waterfalls and sliding down natural rock toboggans. However, it is fully accessible to everyone: if anyone prefers not to jump or slide, every single waterfall can be bypassed safely using a rope descent (rappelling).

📅 Tour Itinerary

Departure from Kutaisi: We start our journey from Kutaisi in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle. Ahead lies a scenic drive into the heart of the Imereti region.
Forest Hike to the Canyon: From the parking spot, we begin a light, scenic hike through a beautiful, dense forest. After a 20-30 minute walk, we reach the head of the canyon, welcomed by lush greenery and a refreshing mountain river.
🦺 Gear-up & Safety Briefing (Training): Before entering the canyon, each participant is equipped with professional gear (wetsuit, helmet, and harness). Our guides will conduct a thorough safety briefing and training session on how to use the equipment, move through the water, rappel down ropes, and follow safety rules. Now, everyone is ready for the adventure!
🌊 Canyoning Adventure (Active Phase): We step into the magical world of the canyon. Together, we will navigate through 8 stunning waterfalls:
- 5 Rappels (Abseils): Descents from various heights, with the highest and most thrilling waterfall being 15 meters tall.
- 2 Cliff Jumps into Waterfalls: Jumping from the cliffs directly into deep, crystal-clear natural pools (optional).
- 1 Toboggan: A natural rock slide where you safely glide down with the water flow.
- Throughout the canyon, we will swim and float down the river, surrounded by breathtaking green mossy cliffs.
Canyon Exit & Return: After reaching the final point of the canyon, we take off the gear, change into dry clothes, rest for a bit to share our impressions, and head back to Kutaisi in our 4x4 vehicles.
